The Treasury division plays a major role in the overall business development of the bank. We manage all of Al Rajhi Bank's currency positions, invest surplus funds and manage the balance sheet to ensure the availability of adequate liquidity to meet the day-to-day operating requirements.

Treasury provides support to other business units within the bank, supplying financial information on all money market products in order to facilitate all customer operations.

We are among the most active participants in the international commodity markets, and our expertise in this area enables us to provide attractive investment returns for our customers, in line with the bank’s basic operating principles.

Direct investment products minimize risk for our investors. We absorb this risk, as this product is structured to provide a viable alternative to conventional bank deposits. Whether for large-ticket transactions or smaller remittance items for individual customers, our charges for foreign exchange services are extremely competitive. Foreign currency banknotes and precious metals (gold and silver bars and coins) complete the range of our customer-focused products.

The Treasury Department plays a central role in the bank by managing its liquidity and asset liability position.  Treasury runs an active investment book to enhance the yield-based income, dealing in over 40 currencies.  We are the leaders in the bank-note business in both wholesale and retail in the GCC.  While offering attractive Sharia compliant treasury products to you, we actively participate in international commodity markets.

Our experienced team of dealers manages large volumes and provides innovative customized financial solutions for you. In addition, Treasury supports other business groups in the bank by providing prices in all money market and foreign exchange products to facilitate customer activities. The department implements a continuous product development program that constantly invests in modern technology, maintaining its place at the forefront.

Treasury also extends its advisory services to existing and prospective customers on hedging exposures and, in turn, offers suitable products.
