His Royal Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim, Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud, laid the foundation of the Al Rajhi Bank center for Cardiac Catheterization in Al-Qassim last Tuesday, as part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

The center will be located in Al-Rass General Hospital, covering an area of 2000 square meters in total. Al Rajhi Bank covered all costs to establish and equip the center as the expected date for the completion of the project and its launch will take place within 18 months, God willing.

His Highness the Prince of Al-Qassim praised Al Rajhi Bank for the support it has offered to establish the center, which, God willing, will lighten the burden on heart centers in other hospitals of the region, but also have a positive impact on the speed in which the treatment is provided to patients, therefore reducing the waiting lists for appointments.

The center will consist of three floors. The first floor will include the reception area, secretarial offices, meeting rooms, the Director’s office, the medical coordination and treatment office, the Clinic Director’s office as well as the Director of Medical and Administrative Affairs’ office.

The second floor will include a reception desk, waiting rooms, 4 examination rooms, two cardiology clinics, a fully equipped heart surgery clinic and a warehouse. The third floor will include a fully equipped Catheterization Laboratory and Coronary Care Unit for patients with coronary arteries.

It is also important to note that His Excellency, the Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and Al Rajhi Bank Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi had previously signed an agreement to establish the Cardiac Catheterization Center in Al-Rass as well as the Center for Physiotherapy, Physical Therapy and Anti-Smoking in Tarif at a cost of more than SAR 18 Million, as one of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
