Al Rajhi Bank has recently signed an agreement with Wareef Charity, a general organization affiliated to King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, whereby it pledged to purchase and equip two blood donation vehicles worth 6 million Saudi riyals, as one of the bank’s most valuable and sustainable social responsibility projects.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Muhammad bin Khalid Al-Ajimi, CEO of Wareef Charity, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Yami, Director of Institutional Communication at Al Rajhi, in the presence of many officials from both sides at the headquarters of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh.
Al-Ajimi expressed his appreciation of Al Rajhi’s keenness on adopting this kind of social initiative, stressing the importance of continued cooperation between the different sectors to provide high-quality services all over the Kingdom. He also explained how this initiative is expected to have a great added value and facilitate the blood donation process, as well as contribute to decreasing the growing need for blood units and saving more patients.
This contribution is a part of Al Rajhi’s sustainable social responsibility programs supporting Wareef Charity, Faisal Specialist Hospital, and Research Center to achieve their goals, alleviate the growing need for blood units, and encourage more people to donate blood by reaching them wherever they are.
It’s worth mentioning that from day one, Al Rajhi has continuously supported Saudi society on all fronts through projects pertaining to education, healthcare, training, and through charities with a special focus on large and sustainable projects. During the last five years, Al Rajhi has paid particular attention to the volunteer work and its employees have actively participated in a lot of different projects, in line with the 2030 ambitious Vision to reach 1 million volunteers.
