During this year’s breast cancer awareness month, taking place in October of every year, Al Rajhi bank, in collaboration with foundations and specialized entities in the field, organized an awareness campaign in 15 of its branches for women across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Al-Madinah, Al-Qassim, Mecca, Jeddah and the Eastern Province.
This campaign aims to raise awareness on breast cancer, ensure the importance of early detection through checkup and shed some light on the disease and its treatment; by targeting the bank’s female employees and customers at women’s branches. Experts in the field offered some preliminary information about the disease, while introducing self-examination methods through the use of medical dolls. Experts also invited female employees and customers, over the age of forty with an interest in a checkup, to specialized medical centers for a free mammogram at a time of their choosing.
The campaign was very popular among female customers; female employees also positively interacted with specialists in the field; as both expressed their gratitude towards the bank and its special initiative, reflecting the bank’s participation in social activities and its contribution to raise awareness on the health of its representatives and customers. This initiative also confirms the bank’s strong belief in having a positive role and collaboration in various social causes for the sake of the community, be it regarding health, development, volunteering or education.
