In accordance to the service expansion strategy and in an effort to meet customer demands, Al Rajhi Bank launched its new Al Rajhi Exchange Machine. The latest of its kind in the region, leading in terms of number of currencies available and the use of fingerprint technology to serve transient customers.
This new and unique banking experience serves customers’ currency exchange needs via a modern machine and reinforces Al Rajhi Bank's leadership in self-banking services in the region. The Bank ensures the availability of the exchange machine for all customers whether Al Rajhi Bank customers, customers of other banks, cardholders, and these who do not have bank accounts (transient).
Al Rajhi Exchange Machine dispenses six different currencies to various bankcards. It also allows customers to deposit up to eight different currencies directly into their accounts. For transient customers, the machines provides fingerprint technology to use to exchange eight currencies. This is a true shift, now customers can use Al Rajhi exchange machine rather than queue at exchange offices to obtain Saudi Riyal or other foreign currencies, which constitutes a positive immigration to electronic channels while providing the best mechanism that increases the quality and efficiency of services provided to customers.
The new exchange machine was installed at the international departures terminal (terminal 2) at King Khalid International Airport and at the e-branch in Al Sulaimaniyah district in Riyadh.
Al Rajhi Bank was the first in the Middle East to introduce the self-service fingerprinting technology last year. Today, Al Rajhi Bank customers benefit greatly from this technology in the printing of new ATM cards via ASRAA, the self-service service, one of the unique customer service platforms in the world.
