Al Rajhi Bank, in cooperation and coordination with Purity (Naqa,) the Anti-Smoking Association, conducted a campaign entitled "Aware of my health and Money" in middle and high schools in Riyadh during the academic year 1439-1440H. More than 750 students in the middle and high schools benefited from the financial awareness campaign, while the number of beneficiaries of the anti-smoking campaign in schools exceeded this number.
The campaign included visiting 30 middle and high schools in different districts of Riyadh to raise awareness of the dangers of smoking through the Association and provide treatment where needed for smokers. In addition, the Bank’s anti-fraud department provided financial awareness sessions in schools to raise the level of understanding among students about financial matters such as savings and investments and alert them of the risks they may face in social networking sites.
This campaign comes as a result of the Bank's awareness of the obvious targeting of adolescents through smoking advertisements or targeting them through social networking sites for quick profit, which has serious consequences if the account owner leaks their banking and personal information to those unreliable entities.
Al Rajhi Bank is executing this campaign for the second year in a row, believing it is responsible with the adoption of such activities in an effort to participate in awareness programs that contribute to reducing health and financial risks. The Bank is also keen to encourage employees to volunteer in various social fields and awareness campaigns to strengthen the relationship of employees to the community and to also strengthen the relationship of the bank with its employees and society.
