Al Rajhi Bank wins awards for "Best Work Environment" and "Best Head of HR" in the GCC

Al Rajhi Bank was awarded the Best Work Environment Award for 2018 in the GCC by the Global Human Resources Council in Dubai for the third year in a row as well as the Best HR Head Award. The awards were presented on behalf of the bank by Mr. Khalid Al-Huzaim, Chairman of the Human Resources Council, at the Board's annual meeting last week.

The Award Committee considered that the Bank has been distinguished by the successful implementation of human resources transformation initiatives over the past years, where Al Rajhi Bank has embarked on a large-scale strategic transformation program in 2016 under the umbrella of Accelerated Growth, and became the preferred destination for employment with customer focus, digital leadership and discipline in performance.

The Bank was selected on the basis of an independent survey, and the Graduates Development Program (GDP) was defined as the preferred banking program by Saudi graduates. Based on the great success and opinions of the 18-month intensive development program, the bank is considered the preferred employer in the region.

Mr. Khalid Al-Huzaim said that the Bank, through the Human Resources Council, has adopted a policy of "becoming the preferred destination for employment" as a basic strategy by designing and launching a comprehensive transformation program consisting of more than 20 projects aimed at enhancing human resources management.

He also added that over the past three years, the Bank has begun to capitalize on the human resource transformation initiatives that support the Bank in terms of creating a qualified, committed and experienced human resource, thereby achieving outstanding financial results and a high level of customer experience as well as being the highest value banking brand in the Kingdom.

Al-Huzaim explained that the bank has crowned its efforts in the field of human resources with the establishment and launch of Al Rajhi Educational Academy, which consists of two main bases: the College of Banking and the College of Leadership, in which the Bank has provided the most modern facilities. The bank also designed and launched a number of educational solutions that meet international standards and are in line with the strategic priorities of our business and since 2017, many leading programs have been launched under the sponsorship of the “Leadership College,” and we are moving forward in 2018 and beyond to meet and exceed business requirements.

Human resources at Al Rajhi Bank included the employee's EVP, a special program for the Bank to include the business interest and its means to attract and retain employees, Taking into account their experience, the structure of performance management, learning and development, and career progression with total compensation and financial and non-financial benefits, which has led to a significant increase in staff participation over the last two years.

Al Rajhi Bank has completed the process of automation of providing human resources services, in addition to launching the application of human resources on smart phones, which gives employees the flexibility to perform all their activities related to this at anytime and anywhere by logging on to the modern platform. As well as a fully interactive business partner model, covering all regions, has been implemented and provides a central point of contact with staff, with increased support for HR strategies and processes.
