As one of the social responsibility and voluntary programs for the year, Al Rajhi Bank has initiated a program for distributing food baskets in 11 cities around the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The bank’s employees were eager to participate in preparing the food baskets and then distributing them in 11 cities. Al Rajhi also distributed 1500 meals this Ramadan through its Tahweel Branches all over Riyadh.
The food baskets contained more than 15 food ingredients used widely during Ramadan, while the daily Iftar meal included a hot meal, milk, dates and a piece of fruit. Al Rajhi employees have actively participated in distributing the Iftar meals through Tahweel Branches in 15 neighborhoods this Ramadan.
It’s worth mentioning that last year, Al Rajhi implemented ‘Feeding the Fasting Program’ in Riyadh only, while this year the bank was keen on expanding the circle of beneficiaries to include other cities, in addition to encouraging the employees to participate in the campaign. This program is in line with the Saudi 2030 vision that aims at reaching 1 million volunteers by the year 2030. Moreover, the Bank believes that these kinds of initiatives resonate with the Saudi people whose culture is based on cooperation, solidarity, and serving the society. This initiative falls under the social responsibility and volunteer work carried out by the Bank in 2018 and is one of many other programs the Bank adopted this year to serve most of the society segments all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
