Al Rajhi Bank launched the first round of the Information Technology Alumni Program, which includes 12 Saudi graduates in different IT specialties carefully selected for the program. It will last for a whole year and will include several trainings on-the-job.
Mr. Khaled Al-Hazim, Head of Al Rajhi Human Resources Group, said that the program is in line with the plans of Saudization of the vital sectors in the Kingdom. The Bank selected these 12 graduates from hundreds of applicants from different universities, as the program aims at training the best graduates to be managers of the IT departments.
Mr. Al-Hazim clarified that the candidates were selected carefully using the latest selection tools such as personality analysis tests and intensive interviews to guarantee that they have the necessary passion and ambition to take the leadership positions in the IT departments in the biggest Saudi bank. He also pointed out that joining the program opens many doors for the candidates to hold executive positions in the IT sector through developing their banking knowledge and leadership skills necessary to improve professionally and take leadership positions.
Al-Hazim added that Al Rajhi organized the graduates program for three consecutive rounds to qualify the future leaders in different fields, and that the program is consistent with Al Rajhi’s Human Resources slogan “We Live Our Values”. It guarantees the success of the program in growing Al Rajhi’s future businesses by having a chosen group of highly qualified Saudi youth to meet the business needs.
Al Rajhi continues its contributions in qualifying, training and employing the Saudi youth (men and women) year after year, and is achieving great success in attracting youth who have great ambitions and skills and who want to work at the biggest and most popular bank in the Kingdom and the Arab region.
Al Rajhi is considered the biggest employer in the Saudi financial sector, with more than 10.200 employees (males and females) at the end of 2017 and 91% total Saudization rate, which reaches 100% at the women’s branches. All of these employees are known for their efficiency, competitive productivity, and a culture of creativity and initiative.
The bank continues to achieve its employees’ strategic objectives in line with the bank’s 2020 strategy. For example, throughout the year 2017, the bank organized about 65.000 training days that included different aspects of governance, compliance, technology, leadership and management, and applied the talent assessment tools to identify talents and make the succession plans accordingly.
It’s worth mentioning that Al Rajhi’s Alumni Development Program that aims at qualifying the bank’s future leaders was classified as one of the best programs in the Kingdom. In addition, the bank was recognized for the second year in a row for one of the best working environments in the Gulf.
