In partnership with Al Rajhi Bank, “Jood Eskan” celebrated the delivery of 222 integrated housing units for families in need in different cities and governates of the Kingdom, under the patronage and in the presence of his Excellency the Minister of Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Karim Al-Khulaifi, and Al Rajhi Bank’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Abdullah bin Suleiman Al Rajhi.
His Excellency the Minister of Housing explained that “Jood Eskan” is one of the most important national platforms which aims to activate the role of members of society as well as those of the private sector to support families in need of housing around the Kingdom, while stating that this ceremony is the result of a fruitful partnership between the platform and various national entities and organizations.
The Minister claimed that the platform is a witness to daily contributions from all members of society in order to serve families and provide them with appropriate housing. Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank for supporting social responsibility programs in the banking sector, and to the Chairman of the Board of Directors as well as Al Rajhi Bank employees for their collaboration and support. He also confirmed that the platform looks forward to increasing similar social collaborations to serve the nation at a residential level, one of the most important necessities for families to have and live comfortably.
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al Rajhi expressed his joy in taking part in this initiative, which aims to involve the community in lending a helping hand to families in need of housing through an electronic platform that achieves transparency, precision and professionalism in order to increase the rate of stability among families. Al Rajhi Bank is also keen to develop its social responsibility by focusing on sustainable projects, which in turn contributed to the implementation of many projects and initiatives in the health, housing and educational sectors.
The housing units were delivered during a ceremony held at Al Rajhi Bank headquarters in Riyadh, as an extension of the bank’s support to the “Jood Eskan” platform, through a contribution of 40 million riyals aimed at providing housing for approximately 222 families in need, including 1110 family members overseen by 124 heads of households, 59 divorced women and 39 widows, all beneficiaries across the city of Riyadh, the northern border and Makkah Al-Mukarramah as well as several governates, such as Al-Aflaj, Al-Majmaah, Al-Zulfi, Al-Dawadmi, Shaqra, Rafha, Arar, Tarif and Al-Kharma
It is also important to note that the “Jood Eskan” platform is one of the National Developmental Housing Foundation’s initiatives that aims to involve all segments of the Saudi society, be it individuals or organizations, in the field of residential charitable giving, through an electronic platform that prides itself in offering transparent contributions.
Since its inception, the platform has received generous support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, in the amount of 100 million riyals, and from His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, may Allah protect him, in the amount of 50 million riyals; emphasizing the leadership’s interest in activating the social role and accelerating growth, by presenting a new model of social solidarity, in which the roles of government and charitable entities are integrated and meet under the “Jood Eskan” platform.
