As part of this year’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and volunteer work, Al Rajhi Bank implemented the “Winter Gifts” program for the third year in a row, in order to distribute gifts to those in need during the 2019 winter season. Employees interacted with this program by volunteering and packing gifts before launching them to different cities and then distributing them through social responsibility ambassadors and the bank’s employees to governorates, in collaboration with concerned parties.
Winter gits packed a number of winter needs such as blankets, electric heaters and winter clothes, that will be distributed, God willing, to 11 regions and governorates including Riyadh, Jizan, Al-Taif, Medina, Al-Baha, Northern Borders, Hail, Al-Qassim, Asir, Al-Muwayh and Mecca.
In order to guarantee volunteer work and to involve both female and male employees in this noble and humanitarian work, Al Rajhi Bank coordinated with social responsibility ambassadors in the regions to receive winter gifts and distribute them through the bank’s employees, in collaboration with charities in every city. The program received an amazing turnout and a lot of interaction from social responsibility ambassadors as a way to activate their social role and get rewarded.
It is important to note that the bank continuously ensures the increase of volunteer work, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to reach a million volunteers, in addition to its belief that this type of work complies with the community’s nature and culture, urging cooperation and solidarity in community service. This activity falls under 2019’s Corporate Social Responsibility activities and volunteer work, as it is one of the many implemented programs throughout the year, that serves the majority of the community in most of the regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
