Al Rajhi Bank exceeds 50 thousand volunteer hours carried out by more than 10,900 employees

The bank announced that 50,895 volunteer hours were achieved from 2016 until the end of November 2020 AD. These volunteer hours were implemented by 10,954 male and female employees, including 8,326 and 2,628 respectively. Volunteer programs were also implemented in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On the occasion of the International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 5th of each calendar year, the bank stated that since its inception, it has implemented many major projects with universities, hospitals, specialized associations and charities through many initiatives, where the focus has been on sustainable projects, in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030 and in response to the bank’s representatives who offered effort, time and experience to their community. The volunteering process was formally organized to become part of the human resources system at the bank, and it constitutes a basic feature in its performance. Today it is one of the advantages of working at the bank as a result of volunteering as a thought and practice for employees, their families and their society.
The numbers recorded a remarkable growth during the past five years, with a total of 1,655 hours and 600 volunteers in 2016; 5,735 volunteer hours and 1,634 volunteers in 2017; 14,115 volunteer hours and 2,904 volunteers in 2018; 16,265 volunteer hours and 3,191 volunteers in 2019; and finally in the year 2020 AD despite the Corona pandemic, the bank was keen to achieve its target to be implemented by the end of this year cumulatively for five years, taking all precautionary measures to put the safety of male and female employees and the community at the forefront, in order to achieve 13,125 volunteer hours and 2,625 volunteers.
The bank continues to present social responsibility projects and initiatives, as the beneficiaries of these programs diversify for a wider reach, including general programs that target society as a whole, such as establishing medical centers and university endowments, and programs to support the disabled, orphans, the poor, the blind and those with special needs, in addition to supporting educational and rehabilitation programs. The bank is noticeably present on most world health days to raise awareness and educate the community.
It is worth noting that since its inception, Al Rajhi Bank has been consistently consolidating its relationship with the local community through the adoption of many national programs and initiatives that have, by the grace of God, left a great impact on the bank, its employees and society. In addition, the relationship between the bank’s employees and society is an integral part of employees’ relationship with the bank and that of the bank with the community. Al Rajhi Bank also seeks to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to reach one million volunteers.
