1,634 Al Rajhi Bank Employees record 5,753 hours of Volunteer Work in 2017

In 2017, Al Rajhi Bank initiated 101 social programs and voluntary activities in 21 cities and governorates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

All initiatives included the voluntary participation of 1,634 employees in all cities – 1,269 men and 365 women whom recorded an estimate of 5,753 volunteer hours during the year.

The implementation of these programs included the cities/areas of Riyadh, Al Qassim, Dammam, Makkah, Jeddah, Al Madinah, Al Khobar, Tabuk, Abha, Jizan, Al Taif, Al Ahsa, Hail, Yanbu, Al Jubail, Al Jouf, Al Baha, Al Houtah, Al Kharj, Hafr Al Batin and Al Majmaah.

The initiatives, which are part of large programs financed by the Bank for government, charitable or specialized entities, fall under the following categories:

Support for those in need, housing (specialized associations or home renovation for the poor), “Green Tomorrow” which cares entirely about the environment, the youth, international health days or special days for groups with special needs, and the elderly.

Al Rajhi Bank aims to drive the spirit of volunteerism among its employees and their families as one of its initiatives to contribute to the realization of the Saudi vision, which has placed great importance on volunteering and development of the third sector.

The culture of volunteerism contributes to bringing awareness to employees on the issues facing society and special needs groups, the environment, community service, along with health and financial issues.
