alrajhi bank donates 1,100 wheelchairs via "Health Endowment"

Within the social responsibility programs and initiatives of Al Rajhi Bank, the bank signed a community partnership agreement with the Health Endowment Fund to finance the purchase of 1,100 wheelchairs donated by the bank for the benefit of the Ministry of Health hospitals, at a total cost of 900 thousand riyals. The agreement extends for a year from the date of signing the contract, provided that the delivery of all chairs to the hospitals of the Ministry of Health will be completed within that year. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Haidari, CEO of the Health Endowment Fund, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Harbi, Relationship Manager at the bank. In order to activate volunteer work and to involve male and female employees in this noble humanitarian work, coordination will be made with the ambassadors of Al Rajhi Bank for Social Responsibility in the areas that will be covered by the distribution of chairs. That way together both parties can work on distributing the chairs through employees and in cooperation with some officials of the Health Endowment Fund in each city. Supporting the health sector through sustainable initiatives and projects is considered one of the bank’s priorities in the field of social responsibility, as the bank previously donated to the Health Endowment Fund of the Ministry of Health to contribute to the elimination of the Corona pandemic with an amount of 25 million Saudi riyals. Moreover, the bank contributed an amount of 9.1 million riyals to the initiative “وطن العطاء” to support the provision of medical equipment and food for those affected by the corona in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources. Not to mention, the bank's sponsorship of 91 kidney transplants for patients with kidney failure in cooperation with Al Habib Hospital. The bank had previously donated 70 million riyals to the endowments of King Saud University for the construction of the Al Rajhi Medical Bank Tower, which will be completed by early 2022. Along with the adoption of the infertility and fertilization program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center with a value of 10 million riyals. In addition to the establishment of the Al-Rajhi Bank Center for Occupational and Physical Therapy and combating smoking in Turaif General Hospital, and Al Rajhi Bank’s Cardiac Catheterization Center in Al Rass General Hospital. It also supported the establishment and operation of the The Autism Center of Excellence with an amount of 44 million riyals. The bank also provided an amount of 6 million riyals to the Wareef Charity to secure the manufacture and purchase of two modern blood donation vehicles that will be operated through the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh.
